Attending a football match in 2014 with his eldest grandson Charlie caused Richard to muse over how much the face of football had changed since he attended his first match in 1964.

What was it like for Charlie compared to the author’s first experience some fifty years earlier and of course not everyone can remember that one brief shining moment in 1966 when England were champions of the world.

This fascinating book covers some of the greatest and most scandalous moments in football as seen in the revolutionary decade which was the 1960s.

Richard Crooks is an Old Edwardian having first attended the school in 1967.
